The Nicolis Museum of cars, technology and mechanics is "no traditional museum" but rather, as its founder puts it, a true "repository of culture and ideas".
The museum was founded by Luciano Nicolis and is situated just outside Verona in Villafranca di Verona, a few kilometres from Lake Garda. It exhibits thousands of objects in 7 collections, among them 100 vintage cars, 120 bicycles, 105 motorcycles, 500 cameras, 120 musical instruments, 100 typewriters, small planes and hundreds of works that spring from human inventiveness.
Because of its beauty and the objects on show, the Nicolis museum is often used as a location for video clips. It has been chosen for this purpose by artists such as pop singers Laura Pausini and Roby Facchinetti, the rock band I Modà and soul and jazz singer Mario Biondi.
