Lazise is a small town located on the Veronese side of Lake Garda; it is considered the oldest municipality in Italy.
Among the most important events taking place in its territory we mention the ancient Madonna della Neve festival, the national fair "The honey days", the Cadenon's cuccagna and the feast of San Martino. 

In Lazise you can admire the splendid Scaliger castle and the walls enclosing the town center, still retaining three entrance doors. La Porta Nuova (the new door) - the most recent dates back to 1376.

You can walk through the streets of the center and on the lakefront, to enjoy a relaxing break and to immerse yourself in the beauty of Garda.
Lazise also offers other interesting activities, in addition to its proximity (about 6 km) to Gardaland, the most famous amusement park in Italy. 

 

1 – Church of San Nicolò and Church of San Zenone and Martino

The first one is located in the town center, close to the romantic harbour overlooking the lake. Dedicated to the Sailor's protector and built in Romanesque style, it seems to date back to the XII century. Inside you can admire frescoes of the XII XIII century, still well preserved. The Church of San Zenone and Martino is instead built in neoclassical style and dates back to the XVIII century. It was built on the remains of a 13th century church.

 

2 – Pedestrian and cycle route Lazise - Bardolino - Garda

From Lazise starts a cycle and pedestrian route connecting it to Bardolino and Garda. The route is about 9 km long and allows you to follow it along the beautiful lakeshore. During the summer season, there is the maximum flow of tourists and it is less easy to cycle.

 

3 – Movieland

This is a theme amusement park on the world of cinema. It is 4 km from the centre of Lazise and offers many shows and attractions. It is better to check the opening days and times, because they vary according to the season.

 

4 – Caneva the Aquapark

Adjacent to Movieland is the Caneva, a water attraction park of great appeal for people of all ages. Slides, pools and water games are some of the attractions it offers during the summer season. You can also relax on the sun loungers or in the large whirlpool tubs.

 

5 – Villa of the Cedars

This thermal park is located in Colà, a fraction of Lazise. Outside you can immerse yourself in the two thermal lakes equipped with cervical fountains, whirlpools and geysers, but you can also take advantage of the indoor sports center, where there is a gym and thermal pool. To complete the offer are available the spa, courses, spa treatments, treatments and relaxing massages. Inside the park, there are several dining options for lunch, dinner or for a break during the day.
