MTB Garda Marathon and MTB Granfondo Garda are two twin races dedicated to mountain bikers and take place always in Garda, a beautiful country that overlooks the Verona-shore of the Lake.
The two events - which have been taking place for many years - include two routes of different lengths, calibrated for two types of athletes: on the one side, there are experts with a great training behind and on the other, there are those, who wish to approach this competition without a complete athletic training.
The routes may vary slightly from year to year, with small changes that the organizers introduce to make the two races more and more exciting. For cyclists it is a unique experience, because the paths run from the Lakeshore going up to Monte Baldo, offering unique and exciting panoramas. The event is enriched by dozens of exhibitors of the sector and final awards to all winners.
Garda Marathon it is the most demanding one, with its almost 60 km of routes, divided between asphalt, dirt roads and mule tracks, with the alternation of steep sections to more panoramic ones. Here the height difference can reach up to 2230 meters, requiring physical strength and a good technique.
Granfondo Garda instead is within the reach of all passionate bikers and provides for a more accessible, though not trivial, route. This second route is about 39 km long, along which you face numerous climbs followed by steep descents and you discover new paths, which are normally never beaten. The height difference is also proportional to the difficulty of the route, as it usually does not exceed more than 1350 meters.
