Tremosine is located on the eastern shore of Lake Garda and is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
Its name does not refer to a single area, but rather to an extensive municipality stretching to the park “Alto Garda Bresciano”. 18 small, scattered wards form the municipality of Tremosine, making it one of the largest in the province of Brescia. Campione is the only ward situated directly at Lake Garda.
In the area above Tremosine, a large number of trenches and casemates in caves, machine gun emplacements and bombing release areas attest to the 1st World War. These military relicts are easy to reach on foot or with a trekking bicycle.
The “Terrace of Thrill” in Tremosine is also popular among tourists – you feel like floating in the air while enjoying a splendid view of Lake Garda.
